Bogus Complaints Filed Against Kern Valley Wired

Recently, I was involved in an event with a non-profit organization in which an advertisement was to be placed in their flier. The organizer delegated some of the work to the various businesses in the Kern River Valley and while I have been handling some of the web services he delegated the production of the flier to a competing company Imegre Marketing.

James Taylor of Imegre Marketing has tried to attack me personally and professionally several times in the past and I warned the event organizer of the potential for trouble. Mr. Taylor of Imegre Marketing did not disappoint us in this particular situation. Before I go on, I want to note that I have always considered James a competent graphic artist, however I have never been amused by his childish and unprofessional antics.

In this particular scenario, I was given a short notice to prepare an ad for the flier so I whipped up something, great or not for the paper. Mr. Taylor, who was the only one with this ad copy, after several times refusing it and/or trying to print it with a pink background, took it upon himself to distort it, photograph his computer screen and submit it to a site called failblog. This action caused a massive disturbance in my business by numerous crank telephone calls and harassing emails.

Furthermore, he contacted one of my clients and was trying to portray my services as disreputable and in need of his scrutiny.

This is the 2nd, 3rd 4th? time that James Taylor of Imegre Marketing has felt it necessary to perform such an attack, the last time he tried to post insulting comments on this website.

After receiving all those offensive emails and telephone calls in this scenario, I took liberty of posting something retaliatory and rather extreme on the site that was receiving the harassment. This did in fact invoke a telephone call from James Taylor of Imegre Marketing, who claimed, “It was organic how your artwork ended up on failblog”. I asked if the artwork sprouted legs, jumped out of the screen and photographed itself and then he claimed a friend took the photo, sent it to some other friend who then made the post. Now doesn’t this sound like a 2 year old making up excuses for bad behavior?

I asked him for the friends’ names, of course he refused to offer it, probably because the friend did not exist. I told him to make this right, he asked “What can I do?” I explained a simple letter of apology on company letterhead would work just fine taking full responsibility for the issue, he claims he was not responsible, so I said state who is responsible on the letter then. He refused.

Bottom line is the artwork was under his sole care and control when it was posted to failblog. Any exploitation of such is directly his liability.

After giving James several days to (possibly grow up?) and do the right thing, he still was in denial so I took the post from my site down, and filed legitimate complaints on several consumer websites regarding the issue.

This did get James to contact me by telephone with some phony threat warning me to stop creating slanderous posts. I explained that truth is not slander nor libel, and I told him there is no need to give his money to a lawyer when a simple apology letter on a 5 cent sheet of paper would end the situation. I even offered a mutual letter of apology if he found the maturity to take responsibility for his action.

Anyway, no letter, and several days later an email from him trying to be smart, telling me he remembers “The Good Ol’ Days” when things were civil between himself and I, and to be honest, I never remember those days. He was always coming at me trying to get a piece of my business or to insult me. He stated he wanted to put this situation behind us. I straight up told him, his letter of apology would take care of that, and I even sent him a draft of what I would write in response.

Apparently being a mature businessman is not in James Taylor’s character, he never responded to my email.

Instead, he has created numerous phony online identities plus had friends do the same in effort to create baseless complaints against me, and to post phony positive testimonial about his business. To which, all the negative stuff he posts about me, each one has to be addressed as they come up. Unfortunately James has made no public statements about my complaints to him. He prefers to hide rather than address the complaint with the mature solution, or to defend himself. Thus, giving proof that my complaints are 100% true.

I want to thank the reader at this point for their patience in reading this dissertation, and would hope that if you came to my site considering my services or read one of his bogus complaints filed about me tat you would have enough sense to know otherwise, or give me a call to discuss the matter further.

At this point it seems there is no end to his phony attacks, and no apparent time line for when James Taylor will grow up. Apparently he feels it is better to waste other people’s time including his own to do anything but accept responsibility for his childish act.

It is a sad statement about the Kern River Valley, that this is not the first, second or third time I have been attacked for no reason whatsoever, other than just trying to take care of my business and be good at what I do. I know others this has happened to as well in this town. It seems if you are good at something you are perceived as a threat, instead of friendly competition… and rather than just tightening up their game, people feel the need to go on a full attack and or make some bogus, baseless complaint or rumor about you.  I have been attacked this way by the local newspaper, both chambers of commerce as well as the handful of other alleged “web professionals” in this town.

The funny part is they come at you with a sucker punch, and if you voice a complaint about being sucker punched, they start with the vicious rumors and lies and will try to paint the picture that you provoked them, and then they will get their friends to say it was your fault they sucker punched you. Nonsense. In the mean time they complain about the sad state of affairs their own life or business may be in. My suggestion is just for them to focus on doing their business and doing it well. Stop attacking me or anyone else for that matter and maybe, just maybe things will get better for you. However, if you do attack me without cause other than because I exist, be prepared to lose the fight. As a matter of fact, just by attacking me you prove to be a loser already.
