You may ask:
"Why can't I do it myself for free?" It's known that there are tools available on the internet for people without skills to create their own website. If it was that simple, you probably would have done it already. Or maybe you have, but keep in mind, free website creators usually create sites that look like "free websites". You get what you pay for. Then there's the obligatory links to the provider that need to be all over the site or advertising they hijack your site with PLUS AT ANY TIME THEY CAN REMOVE YOUR SITE FOR ANY REASON! Other than the look of the site, there is the "hidden" parts you might have little control over such as keywords, and if you don't know what you're doing your site won't get indexed properly by the search engines. YOU RUN YOUR BUSINESS! LET ME RUN YOUR WEBSITE! FREE IS NOT FREE! Ok, so you go and register a domain name, that costs around $10 - $30 depending where you buy it, and what options you choose (like privacy), now you need to buy hosting, $1.99 - $$$$$? a month, lets call it $4.95 (average) so $60/yr. hosting and say $20 for the domain. You're already up to $80. Now design, what is your hourly time worth to you? $10/hr? $20? if you answered INVALUABLE you are correct! So for $100 - $300/annual, you can get a page or site with domain, hosting, design, search engine optimization & support + much much more (read packages to right) so you can enjoy what little free time you have at the end of the day! "I'm already on a business directory for the valley, why do I need to be on yours?" I addressed this on my FAQ, but will explain in more detail here. There are several of these business directories for the valley now. And THEY MAKE IT EASY FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE ALREADY LOOKING FOR US in the valley to find us. My domain strategy, and MY MARKETING TECHNIQUES ARE GOING TO GET LOCAL BUSINESS SEEN AND VISTED BY PEOPLE WHO NEVER KNEW THE KERN RIVER VALLEY EXISTED! The other factor is that other directories, while they will still exist, will not show up as readily on Google searches due to the search engine strategies I implement for my own sites.
